SUMMARY:Mindful Eating Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:In a world of multitasking and fast food\, mindless eating is all too common. We have less and less time and ability to stop\, stay focused\, and get in touch with our inner selves – our thoughts\, feelings\, and sensations. \nMindful eating involves paying full attention to the experience of eating and drinking\, both inside and outside the body. Food is a powerful sensual experience that engages all our senses. We pay undivided attention to the colours\, smells\, textures\, flavours\, temperatures\, and even the sounds (crunch) of our food. We become fully engaged in the present moment. \nTopics covered in the course include:\n• Mindfulness – what is all about?\n• Mindful eating – becoming a skilled eater: attentive\, eating for the right purpose\, and having a sense of control!\n• Meditative practices: learning to tune in to your body’s sensations\, including hunger;\n• Experiencing mindful eating together –sharing and questions. \nDiscover a new relationship with the food and begin your mindfulness journey! \nFee: 70CHF

SUMMARY:Self-Compassion Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:How do you typically react to life’s difficulties or to your own mistakes and imperfections? If you are highly self-critical\, what are the consequences of being so hard on yourself?\nThe latest studies in psychology and neuroscience reveal that self-compassion is the ground of all emotional healing. \nSelf-criticism only sabotages us and produces a variety of negative consequences. When we respond with compassion to our own imperfections – without judgment or self-blame – we make essential steps on the path to healing and genuine happiness. \nSelf-compassion is the heart of mindfulness\, and self-compassion skills help us to be kind and caring toward ourselves rather than being critical and judgmental. It allows us to feel connected to others when we suffer\, rather than feeling isolated and alone. Unlike self-esteem\, the good feelings of self-compassion do not depend on being special and better than other people; instead\, they come from caring about ourselves and recognizing that we all go through difficult times and it’s only human to get distressed on occasion. \nTopics to be addressed:\n– Self-compassion definition and research data;\n– Learning to treat yourself with the same kindness\, caring\, and compassion you would show to a good friend;\n– Meditative practices on self-compassion and loving-kindness;\n– Simple tools for giving yourself the support you need whenever you suffer\, fail\, or feel inadequate.\n– Sharing and questions. \nWatch a short video about the workshop: \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n\n\n	\n \n	\n	\n	The most fundamental aggression to ourselves\, the most fundamental harm we can do to ourselves\, is to remain ignorant by not having the courage and the respect to look at ourselves honestly and gently. Pema Chödrön\n	\n\nCushions and mats are available. No previous experience needed. \nFee: 70 CHF \nEmail: ela.amarie@themindfulbrain.net
