One to one individual mindfulness classes and sessions

You learn specific skills for working with turbulent thoughts, difficult emotions and unhealthy behaviours and to cultivate calm, resilience, clarity, wisdom.

Areas that can be addressed:
– chronic fatigue and sleeping problems
– stress and burnout
– eating disorders
– anxiety and worrying
– depression and sadness
– life transitions
– difficulty focusing and emotional reactivity
– chronic pain and illness

You acquire tools and practices that can bring mental and emotional balance, clarity and peace of mind. The promise is not that you will not have to face difficulties again or that you will no longer experience the heights and depths of emotions but you will learn to respond to them in healthier manner.
The approach incorporates new findings from Neuroscience, Psychology, Medicine, together with Contemplative practices (meditative practices, breathing, light movement).

Mindful Brain offers individual mindfulness training in two forms:

1. Individual sessions for people who prefer a targeted, individual support.
This service is suitable for people who are new to mindfulness and they would like to try out some tailor made
classes. Sessions incorporates approaches from Psychotherapy, Coaching and Contemplative practices (meditation, breathing, light movement)

We discuss your individual needs and specific issues and you will be taught the key mindfulness practices with handouts and audio guided meditations to continue your personal practice between sessions. We explore ways of integrating mindfulness into your daily life.

2. The classic 8 week MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) training adapted to the needs and schedule of each individual.
The program includes:
– Guided mindfulness meditations during each session
– Discussions and sharing of experiences
– Guided homework practices (45min/day)
– Ongoing email support
– Inquiry into what you are experience at home and within each session
– Short theoretical sessions on: automatic pilot, negative thoughts patterns, difficult emotions, stress
triggers/ reactions, etc
– Supportive readings / handouts and audio guided meditations

The individual program is suitable for individuals who are not able to attend the group training due to scheduling conflict or find group settings challenging.
