As part of his 2024 European Tour Venerable Bhante Sujatha will visit us again in Switzerland for a special workshop on “Healing Through Loving-Kindness”. Many people from this community have already met Bhante during his previous visits in Switzerland and appreciated his wisdom, kindness and humour.

Cost: This is a donation based event for the humanitarian projects “Love in Action”. Bhante Sujatha calls charitable or humanitarian work “Love In Action.”

Suggestion: A 2h workshop values here is Switzerland in average between 60 – 100 CHF. Please bring cash.

Schedule: 19.45 – 21.15 – Introduction and meditation, 21.15 – 21.45 – Questions and Answers. The workshop is taught is English

Venerable Bhante Sujatha, a 30+ year Buddhist Monk, is singularly focuses on adding more love in the world. Bhante teaches loving-kindness meditation to people around the globe for all those seeking the art of happiness and contentment. His approach to meditation is deep and simple, bringing core Buddhist teachings to everyone, in a way that is practical and easy to understand.

A joyful, radiant, funny and wildly energetic monk, Bhante will help you obtain peace that can only be found in deep silence. He is originally from Sri Lanka and is the head monk / abbot of the Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple and Meditation Center in Woodstock, IL. He uses the donations he collects from his teachings for humanitarian projects he calls “Love in Action”, largely focusing on supporting underprivileged pregnant women and children in Sri Lanka.

Bhante believes his purpose is not only to teach meditation, but also, “teaching people how to be happy.”

Urban Mindfulness Meditation Zurich is a community based project started in 2011 that aims to bring more awareness to the benefits of meditative practices for mental and physical health.

Urban Mindfulness Meditation Zurich offers weekly drop in mindfulness meditation classes and a variety of workshops, courses and retreats designed to help you manage stress and to increase your health and well-being.

All courses are grounded in brain science, positive psychology and contemplative training and teach meditation in a secular, non-religious manner.

The purpose of this group is to create a warm, safe and trustful space where we learn, exchange ideas, meditate, reflect and explore life’s questions. We are a fast growing community of people interested in cultivating happiness, peace and wisdom in our daily lives.
